Your song “Patriot Games” so moved me (and many of my listeners) that I have now made it my theme song and begin every show with it.
—Robyn Shanti – KBOO – FM, Portland, OR

Woji was really good. His voice had much the timbre of Bruce Springsteen's (something about the way he slid around the notes), although Jim heard a bit of Dave Van Ronk. Often live entertainment makes me want to flee — it's so embarrassing when it's lame and right in front of you, with only a few patrons clapping feebly. But Woji even managed to get through a protest song (they still exist!) without making me lunge for the door, which has to be a first.

Last night in a bar in Austin, Texas, we held a family reunion for the peace movement. The occasion was the presentation of the Camp Casey Peace Awards . Much of the evening was devoted to the incredibly powerful anti-war music of Carolyn Wonderland, Emma's Revolution , Hank Woji , and Jesse Dyen, each of whom had a crowd on their feet and moving as well as sitting and feeling like crying.
—David Swanson - CounterPunch

Hank Woji of Houston, a balladeer, sang three songs [ at the Camp Casey Peace Awards ], each very poignant....Does Bob Dylan come to mind when you hear him? Well, yes! Hank put Carly Sheehan's incredible poem to music and it was very beautiful.
—Patrice M. Schexnayder - Interfaith Coalition for Environmental Justice

I listen to KBOO and they play "Patriot Games" there, as well as other artists that make my hair catch on fire, and all I can say is, I'm blown away. Thank you! Your work is an inspiration for me to keep marching, protesting, calling, writing and empowering my kids to question authority….thank you for your art. Your CDs are now right next to Woody Guthrie's "A Vision Shared" DVD.

With his new CD “Medallion” , Hank Woji stands out from the pack of singer/songwriters by conjuring a sound that is at the same time richly textured and intimate. Singing in a voice that is slightly hoarse and understated, Woji evokes the best elements of Arlo Guthrie and Cat Stevens. The superb guest musicianship and attention to detail in the production and arrangement of the songs make “Medallion” an enjoyable and inviting listening experience.

“Medallion” …The long awaited release from Houston balladeer Hank Woji has arrived and is set to take the musical world by storm. I remember Hank gathering information and material for this project years ago. He took his time and delivered a masterpiece on the first try…Woji should get plenty of mileage from this marvelous offering. Award-worthy at every turn, this disc wildly exceeds any and all expectations.

On “Medallion” …Hank Woji, a true poet, delivers lovely and tender lyrics. His songs honor what once was and brightly look into the future with hope for what is yet to come. Hank's soothing and inviting voice will speak to the hearts of all those who walk the path of love. Great harmonies and instrumentals blend perfectly creating a tender call to open one's heart while the world beat sound speaks to the soul…This one is a keeper.
— Karla LaVoie, Author, “For Time And All Eternity”
Hank Woji's music is a paradox - as any attempt to describe it results in inconsistencies in the English language. For instance, it is both seasoned and fresh, dark and uplifting, smooth and dynamic. In the past, Hank has been a sideman in some amazing bands, contributing percussion, bass, vocals and songwriting skills. Once he got used to carrying the show solo, (and believe me, he does) he relaxed right into the singer/songwriter genre. And to our advantage, we've enjoyed a front row seat as he tapped the clearly unlimited potential of his talent.
